No one I know of who's flashed a Helio Samsung to Cricket has complained about the music player getting zapped.

AFAIK, the only phones that will lose the music player app are phones that use the Verizon-branded Brew GUI for the media player, such as the LG enV. And this only happens when you change the phone's Brew settings.
