Cricket email address

For the longest time I did not realize that you could receive email at:

yourphonenumber@mms.mycricket.com

[Phx_Cricket]

I knew about the email address, but unless you have a mms ready phone you only will recieve a text message telling you in order to view the message go to web address listed in message and enter your number and code given in message. Even if only text is sent and not a pic, still have to go to web to read it. But MMS ready phones will get msg directly afaik

What about just using the cellnumber@mycricket.com Will that work for text messaging?

Has anyone had any problems sending email to their phonenumber@mms.mycricket.com lately?

I've had trouble sending from my Hotmail account recently. I get a bounce back saying it was rejected.
