Clickthe option for troubleshooting/tech support, then handset issues. From there, I believe you can get to a person.
I'm a call center guy, and even though some of their customer service is from India(so they could go 24/7), They use what we call center people call a "Busy Out" That's When the call Que gets beyond a certain point the call center activates the busy out option. When this happens A percentage of incoming calls automatically never reach a live person. You get re-looped in the call flow till you get tired and hang up or press wrong keys and get booted out. I don't know how to fix this one. To my knowledge no option will get you though to a live person during a busy out.
I'm pretty sure cricket ONLY accepts customer service calls for tech support. I've actually been told by their customer service agents that the only way to get a person is to do what I described above... all billing questions are automated, as is any other issue you come across... They want you to go to a cricket store with those issues.
I find this question/problem very funny. I get it at work all the time.
SOLUTION: If your service is not interrupted, dial 1 800 - CRICKET from your handset. Put in your security information; ie 6 digit birthday, zip code, last four of your social security number, etc. Then listen to the prompts and do option 3, then 4. Wham-o! You will be transfered to a LIVE technician who can thereafter transfer you to the proper department you need to be in.
If your get into the prompts, and do option 2, then 3, its the billing dept. GRANTED: you might play the game where they cycle you around until you are dizzy and hang up. I always get in, but..others say otherwise.
If you fail to understand this process, perhaps there in lies the real reason you have a Cricket service...

Good luck getting someone in the United States though. They're outsourcing their call center to the Philippines.

Oh, and it is AWFUL. You feel rotten when you call and you can't understand the person, and they clearly can't understand you. I ended up thanking him even though he had not helped me in the slightest. I would think these questions would be common and easily understood. Nope. Double nope. No way. I was transferred to billing from technical support, and then billing transferred me back. Horrible. I just want to get away...
Thanks again for the info Gravy. For anyone interested this does get you right through. Unfortunately you are likely to be speaking to a person who has a grasp of English comperable to a parrot.
