Sprint phone on Cricket
if I was to get an old Sprint phone that I had an unlock code, would I be able to program it myself for Cricket service?
Since jump mobile has free texting, would the texting work on this once Sprint phone?

sprint fone conversion
along with the unlock code you would need a "pst software" to flash the cricket prl to the phone,if not it would always look for sprint towers instead of crickets and yes voice and text msg will work.

In order to program Sprint phones, you will need what is called the MSL code, or the "Master Subsidy Lock" code. Do a Google search for tools that help you find the MSL code for your Sprint phone.
Once you have the MSL code, you can use PST software to manually load a PRL file. If your phone's ESN number has been registered with Cricket, you will be able to dial just *2 (NOT *228) to do OTASP.
If none of what I'm saying makes sense, start searching Google or HowardForums.com
Good hunting!
