Just got a cricket phone with web service. My question is how long should it take before I have access

    How long should web access take?

    Just got a cricket phone with web service. My question is how long should it take before I have access to the web? Also, what if any settings does one normally have to take care of related to the web service? I started my service with cricket a day and a half ago, everything is working, voicemail, etc... Everything but web access. I keep getting ERROR: Network down

    my browser worked right from the start, only needed to sign up. A friend just got a Nokia 6165 and he is getting the same error, his picture messaging dosen't work either. The phone dosen't have BREW so that isn't an issue. He can't access a CSR thru 611, when it gets to the point of transfer to a live person it tells you all reps are busy and sends you back to the main menu instead of going on hold and listening to that god awful theme music. It does this from his phone and from a land line. Most strange.

    i was havin this same problem. i would usually jus turn my phone off and then back on. then it would usually work, but i took the internet off of my phone because it was soo limited (all you can really do is check ur email). I enabled cricket clicks because all i needed the internet for was for ringtones. lemme know if this helps kay

    mine did that about 1 hour ago. i just pressed retry about 2 or 3 times and it ended up working..

    Thanks to everyone for the replys. I'm still unable to get "ANY" connection to the web, however limited. Every time I check to see if it's working I select "Retry" many times and get the same error message. I'm going back to the Cricket office on Monday (where I got the phone) and see what they say. I may end up changing my service and dropping the web service... no point in paying for what you're not getting, right!

    it may be that your account wasn't configured correctly. Sometimes the feature code needs to be refreshed. You could call cust care and ask them to remove it and re-add it and see if that will fix. That is what I would do in the store.

    I've noticed that with my kx5 the web browser will timeout sometimes if I leave the browser(press end) then try to reopen it later. Sometimes restarting phone will work. if it doesn't then open browser(try to) then go to menu>advanced(on navigate tab)>reset browser. that works for me every time. if that STILL don't work have them reprogram phone or re-add the feature.

    Does anyone know why I can't connect to the Cricket tower. I have a Sprint phone. I downloaded the PRL for cricket into the phone 1030. I am not getting any signal. It keep on searching. Need your help. Thanks..

    how about posting in or starting a thread remotely related to what your talking about. This thread has no relevance to flashing your Sprint phone so why are you posting here?

    mine is saying "authentication failed"
