Odd text message from 0000000000

Every few days I get an odd text message to my phone from phone number 0000000000 with the text saying "Cricket is not participating in this event at this time".


Anyone know what that message is all about?

I've gotten those before when I try to text something like google lookups, etc.

only thing I can think of was that I sent a text message to a hotmail address like 20 minutes prior, but I send text to e-mail all the time with no problem

a lot of times that message is comming from a comapny that sells ringtones and wallpapers. you probably sent them a text message back in the day and they have you on their so called mailing list and you phone will not support it. even if it is a true cricket phone, cricket wont participate in those companies becuase its all unlimited, there is no way for them to bill you for that download.

most people see 0000000000 when they recieve sms while using a flashed phone
