Kyocera Slider Remix Portable Speakers
I've been enjoying the Kyocera remix's mp3 player, but I thought it would be nice to get some external powered speakers to amp the sound up some. (not much into headphones).
Does anyone know of any exceptionally good sounding speakers that would be portable?
I bought a Sony cigar shaped portable speaker which seems useless and I plan to take it back. It seems underpowered and although it adds to the "depth" of the music, I think it's even quieter than the speaker on the phone itself.
I'm looking at the "LG Portable Stereo Speakers MSP-100"

right now, but I'm hoping I can get the advice of someone who's been down this road.
Thanks,
Jim

depends on "portable" you consider portable and where you plan to use the speakers. I had a similar experience I bought a pair of speakers, sound output was almost nil through them. Took them back and bought some amplified speakers which worked quite well.
Bear in mind with amplified speakers they need a power source (i.e. plugged into a wall jack). but I just carry the speakers around in my backpack when I need them, so to me that's portable. There might be speakers out there that are smaller and take batteries... if you want loud speakers they will require some kind of power source.

I realize that I won't get "serious" sound from small speakers combined with my phone, but I guess I'm just looking for the loudest/best sounding battery powered speakers that can run off the phone.
By portable, I guess I mean "fit in a coat pocket" or a small bag.

Hi Jim,
I too like enjoying music very much, I bought a pair of mp3 speakers for my mp3 player from minispeakers, which are very simple, easy to carry and great looks; sound quality is simply outstanding and off course at low price. I would recommend you to visit the site for more details and sure you will get the piece for which you are wondering.
Cheers
