you can also try setting your gmail to auto FWD mail to your phone, then saving the pics/sounds

I tried doing that but nothing has happened yet...Been about 10 minutes. Since I emailed it directly to my phone would it appear as a multimedia message?? Or do I need to do anything specific?

yes it would be a multi-media message, are you on at least the $45 plan?
when you sent it to your phone did you leave the hyphens in the address? if so that could be your problem otherwise i dont see why this wouldnt work

I didnt put any hyphens in the address. I have the $50 plan, unlimited calls, messages, and web. Yet I cant seem to download any wallpapers through any websites, so thats my dilema. Ive tried mobile17.com, mobile9.com, treemo, and moco space, but nothing seems to be sent to my phone. Is there anything else Im missing??? And as far as emailing them to my phone, I logged into my gmail account on my pc, attached the photo and sent to 915-###-####@mms.mycricket.com, and I never recieved anything. Would I get a message like the ones my wife sends me??? "You have recieved a multi media message"
