    Cricket Text messeging

I see all the time you can sign up for free text message things. Joke of the day, Dog the Bounty Hunter "Dogisms", Nascar Virtual Crew chief, stuff like that. I tried the nascar one Saturday night and my Jump phone would not work for it. Do you know if Cricket will not work for any of these things?

If you want to post a sample, I will be happy to test it out.

Which refill option do you use with Jump?

I use the $35.00 refill option. I have been just dialing *PAY from my phone and adding funds, but I found a website that gives me reward points for every transaction code I buy for my Jump phone. After you rack up so many points your next purchase is free. I was thinking about trying them a couple times.

An example of Texting would be seen below. I tried the one for Nascar on Saturday and it said "Transition failed"

To get weekly text messages from Dog, text DOG to 42388 from your mobile phone.*
Text STOP to 42388 to end messages.

I looked up on their website and didn't see Cricket as a carrier on the list, but that doesnt' mean anything.

no...i mean that i'd never been able to do any of those things on neither jump or cricket.. if ugo on the cricket website it tells u that u should be able to do those things and it would just be part of ur premium text messenging service(i think it refers to your flex bucket) or something like that..check it out and correct me if im wrong...anyway my point is that i never being able to do it either even though i always have funds on my flex bucket account.

The only short code I have found to work is Google's search (46645). send the word help to that code and you'll get a msg back with instructions. Yahoo's IM only give me error msgs back, because Cricket is not in their list of carriers on the mobile page. But it does send me back a msg so it can work. And Cricket does not yet have an email gateway so services that send stuff to your phone's email address won't work either. But you can text to and from any wireless number.

I'll have to try Yahoo again, when I was trying the IM thing I did try the Y search thing and all I got back was ( Y!: ) as the answer to everything I tried.
