Cricket Hardware
I have been a cricket customer now for a little over a year. I'm on my 5th Kyozera phone. My daughter has her 3rd Motorolla phone. All had battery/charger/connection problems.
You can only buy a cricket phone for cricket service. (unless your some electronic genius with pleanty of time to tinker)
I have come to the conclusion that Cricket makes up for time usage charges by offering inferior phones. I think it is appalling that the darn things are $100 and up, and that I've spent more on phones than if I'd staid with Tmobile.
any suggestions?

I used the same cricKet Nokia 5170i for 3 years before it died and I got it used. Kyocera phones are just plain cheap crap. My current Motorola V265 is still going stong and I've hacked it quite a bit. When it says Unable to Charge I just take a used toothbrush and clean the contacts on the phone and all is well. It doesn't take much to interfere with the charger making good contact with the phone and getting an accurate reading of the battery's condition. It also helps on any phone to clean the contacts on the battery once in a while as well. Dirt and grime will mess up any electrical connection over time.
