Samsung Instinct flashed not texting!!!!

alright, my bad to all of y'all if this has been discussed already. I have looked and have not found anything about any problems like this. I get text and can make and receive calls. I don't have internet service because I wanted to see if this flash would work first. But I CAN'T SEND TEXTS. this is pissing me off. I don't know if it's a phone setting or the wrong prl or what. Please someone take pity on me and help. I flashed my phone and my wife's but don't wanna turn my wife's phone on until i work this out. If this has been discussed........please just post a link so I can go to it and fix this problem. Thanx to all of y'all.
