Hey all. I posted this same question on another board, and then I remembered all the great info on this one!

So, if you all don't mind, I'm just going to paste my initial posting from the other site, and hope to get back some responses. If this is in any way not kosher, Mods could you please kill this thread? I don't want to step on toes, or cause any problems.

Thanks!

Hey guys!

So, I've used the search, and I've been browsing everywhere around the site (not to mention the internet as a whole), in order to get at least voice and sms working on a BB 8703e that was given to me.

It's a Verizon version, and I'm able to get into the CDMA NAM menu (not sure if it's the correct lingo, but it's the place where I can input my MIN, MDN, IMSI_S, etc.. It's called the "CDMA Service Program Edit Screen".)

Ok, so. I've resigned myself to not being able to get MMS and Internet working on it without taking it into a cricket store. I live in the San Diego area, so it should be a possibility. I've made as many changes as I can in the NAM, and when I dial *228, I go to the cricket activation dealio where the dude says to stay on the line and wait for conformation. So, I must be doing something correctly.

I've programmed 2 other phones, HTC 6600 and 6700. The settings are a bit different with this guy.

OK, so to the point! I want to get SMS and voice going. I'm a mac user, so manually uploading the PRL (i was going to give 1040 a shot) isn't an option, as I can't find an editor that is mac compatible.

If anyone could give me some instructions on how to do this, I would love you forever... Well, maybe not FOREVER, but at least for a while.

I have my MIN, MDN, and a ton of other info from my Motorola KRZR that was flashed over to Cricket, so the info is there, and I know where to go to put it in, I just need some help on where to put what. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading!
