    Flashed Motorola Q9c as modem?

I have a Motorola Q9c that is flashed to the cricket network. Its a Sprint phone but all the screens show it as a verizon phone and my laptop recognizes it as a Motorola Q9m which is a verizon phone. So i think its the body of a Q9c with the software for a Q9m. Thought i'd add that in case it impacts my question. Im trying to use this phone as a modem to connect my laptop to the internet. I have unlimited internet access on my phone through cricket but im not able to connect to the web through it. I've tried pdanet and just setting the connection up manually with a usb cord and using it as a bluetooth modem but havent had any success. Does anybody know if this is possible at all?
