Probably because they are with Nextel! I heard that PCS stands for pretty cool service, is it true?

    Talking

    hey guy's

i worked with sprint a few weeks ago on this issue. I got in touch with a engineer at sprint. It looks like there is a encryption problem between Crickets network and Sprints.

I am waiting for that engineer to call me back to tell me whats up.

I will call this coming week to find out more and let you guys know...

This used to work, but it has not worked for several months now. Strange thing is it works with Nextel, and they are the hardest (technology wise) to set up the MMS exchange with due to them using iDEN.

I hate to think that Sprint may have intentionally blocked this, but it is the conclusion I am coming to. For a little while after the direct MMS stopped working i could send messages to PHONENUMER@pm.sprintpcs.com but this is now also not working.

i say they intentionally did this, because Sprint is pissed because it can't offer what Cricket has to.

Talking I got a simple TXT patch Fix for Sprint Treo 700wx users

Well after calling the right advanced tech support person, i was able to get my answer about the encryption problem between Sprint and CricKet.

It was found that the Treo 700wx phone has a flaw from microsoft (Really?) so it can not send a basic TXT message to T-Mobile, CricKet and i believe alltel. This is a problem with the Treo 700wx itself. I have the patch i used yesterday. It did work.

What i was told that there is a probelm sometimes with the txt message being sent as raw data not as an ASCII message. The patch that Palm made, fixes the ROM in the Treo 700wx to stop it from sending txt messages at RAW Data Files.

Now i have not had a problem before recieving txt messages from any carrier, just sending to them. So i'm not sure if this helps anybody but at least i thought i would tell what i found anyway.

Here is the link to DL the patch
