instinct flash

hey i wanted to unlock my instinct to cricket.

iv been out of the phone unlocking scene for a while the last thing i unlocked was a nextel so be gentile with me

so basicly i need the name of the program used to flash it and where to get the rom.... im sure i can figure out the flashing on my own unless its a complicated process.....

with the nextels it was pretty much load rom click done haha

some one please help me i dont want to pay $60 to a local flasher and im tired of this cricket phone that doesnt even have a volume button or vibrate!

the samsung INstince is very easy to load prl and spc, here's instructions:

1. Remove the Sd memory card from the phone.
2. Plug the phone, it should go to usb modem mode, if not, download the drivers located in this forum
3. Change the com port, to either com 1 or com 2
4. Read the phone through UNICDMA (downloadable through this website) and the SPC, is located on the bottom of unicdma, copy and paste that code
5. Load the prl through QPST or CDMA WORKSHOP (downloadable through this website)

YOUR DONE!

ok i got it loaded up in unicdma but i dont know what code to copy.... i looked everywhere for spc but i cant find it this is what i see

and which app do i open with QPST? it installed several different apps...

good job! it's the one where it says (secuirity code )

that's the SPC.

spc = service programming code, and it's also known as the MSL = Master Subsidy Lock!

after you copy that code,

open QPST, and it should read it through com 2 and load the prl.... if you don't know how to do that, then you should search harder!

ok i got almost everything.... now i just need to find the prl

i tried searching but all the prl's i find on the net are from like 2006...

some sites say to type in *228 but im still on the sprint service so how would i download the prl from cricket :S i think im missing something

ok after more research i learned that i need to get a cricket prl on there then run the 228 to update that prl to the newest one... and i tried loading several prl's with the service programing from QPST but it didnt work when i run 611 or *228 i get a weird msg saying welcome to roaming America or something so i know im doing something wrong...

anyone have any ideas on what im doing wrong?

ok after i tried a few prl's i get a welcome to cricket msg when i type in *228 and it tries to program my phone but after like 2 sec it says it was unable to program my phone so what now?
