Follow the instructions as per alasfar1's instructions up to Step 3:
http://www.cricketphonetalk.com/foru....html#post5656
However, instead of using UniCDMA, use CDMA Workshop. (Google it.....and NO, DO NOT PM me with questions!)
Connect to phone using CDMA Workshop. Go to the SPC section in the upper-right-hand corner of the Security tab, then click Read. BAM. You have your SPC. Click Send to unlock the phone. Then replace that SPC with six/all zeros.
To load the PRL, go to the Other tab, select the PRL file, then click Write. You can get a Cricket PRL file from here:
Corolada PRL Page
If you're not sure which one to use, just use 1040--it's universal for all markets, but it doesn't include roaming.
From there, go to the NAM tab and select Read. Enter all of your MDN/MIN, SID/NID, etc. and click Write. When you close CDMA Workshop, let it reboot the phone.
FYI: The Samsung Instinct will NOT *228 NOR *2 in the Dayton, Ohio market.

Internet and MMS Picture Messaging will not work on this Sprint phone.

Uhm... why in the heck does everyone keep saying that it wont work.. ???
Mine works great.. and with cricket evdo Im testing at about 700k per second at speedtest.com
its no different than programming a samsung upstage, or an lg phone..
only difference on programming this as opposed to others is the fact that the proxy is in ip form and not in domain name form.. but other than that everything else is the same...
Now pic messaging is a different story.. I dont think it can happen

No problem.....
You will need CDMA Workshop and QPST for this...
Please search,, they are easy to find...
I will not go into the exacts of getting your spc/msl and flashing the prl to the phone.. if you are not sure how to do this,, you shouldnt really be reading this thread yet...
New Thread Is Here http://www.cricketphonetalk.com/foru...tinct-wap.html
After Changing your spc to 000000
and flashing the Cricket prl to the phone...
do the esn change through cricket..
perform *228 and get all things updated...
after this go back to Qpst and read the phone..
once you read the phone.. go to m.ip and change from mobile ip to simple ip only,,, and look at the first 2 user profiles under m.ip open each one up and change the Nai to 10DigitNumber@mycricket.com,, for both standard and tethered...
remove any ip address that you find in these 2 profiles. and remove any other profiles except the first 2.
also make sure both of them say enabled...,,
now go to ppp config...
look at the tabs that say um and an... under these 2 tabs,, the user id should be 10DigitNumber@Mycricket.com tethered id should be the same,, password is cricket in lowercase on both tabs,, remove any dns ip address you find in either tab also. just make sure all ip address are blank.
once you are completed with this,, move on to the next step..
click on phone icon
click on dialer..
enter ##3282#
click user name
click edit
enter your spc which should already be 000000 by now
starting from the top here ya go...
User Name "10DigitNumber@mycricket.com"
SPI MN-HA "1234"
SPI MN-AAA "1234"
M Home Address "066.179.166.148"
Prim Ha Ip "010.000.005.021"
Sec Ha Ip "010.000.005.022"
Rev Tunneling "Off"
AAA Password "cricket"
HA Password "cricket"
click done,, allow the phone to reboot...
Now do ##3282# again.. this time go to browser
click edit
enter spc
youll see gateway1 and gateway2,,, under both of these
you will see primary and secondary,,, set primary and secondary ip`s for both gateways to 172.029.223.007,, they will all be the same ip address,, and set the Port and secure Port for all gatways to 8080,, hit done reboot and padow.. there you go...
I have tried to make this as clear As I can,, If you have any issues,, start all over... and start from the top...
oh ,, and if you ever reset the phone.. not only will you lose these settings.. but you will lose the browser registration,, and after that the browser will not come up again,, because it gets stuck trying to re register your account with sprint..
this happened to me,, and I got the browser back,, but dont remember how I did it,, I think I had to get into the policy file or something,, but oh well dont sweat it,, just dont reset the phone back to factory spect.. it makes all the apps think the phone is brand new and never been activated..
