thinking about switching to Cricket - haven't heard a lot of good things...

I am currently looking forward to the END of my Sprint contract. They aren't bad, but I am loyal to my wallet and Cricket's prices are attractive. The only problem is when I google Cricket or look them up on Epinions, I find very few positive things about Cricket.

First of all I hear that "Cricket phones suck" (a LOT). Please explain to me (if possible) which phones suck and which are reliable. Or should I consider getting a flashed phone? I am interested in Phone/Pics/Text service and would probably even be okay with only Phone/Text. What are my options?

Secondly I hear (over and over and over) how Cricket's customer service is "the worst in the industry". Not my saying - just look it up. Usually I pay my bill well before it's due, so I rarely have to deal with customer service - unless my account is messed up on their end. What are you user's opinions and does it make you want to go somewhere else for service?

    Thanks -

Just to keep the ball rolling, check these out:

    Cricket reviews on Epinions

    Cricket on Ripoff Report

    Cricket reviews on PhoneDog

Now you can see why I am wondering if getting Cricket is a mistake...

Well - this group has been no help whatsoever. I guess it's just a place to say "Wow, my phone is so cool" and "How do you flash my phone?" I guess Sprint does win.

    Later on, Cricket

Well bro..getting a flashed phone will be the best thing to do..some of their phones do suck but the ones that are kinda good are expensive and if you get insurance..well their insurance sucks ass so flash phone would be the best thing..great service and if you pay on time then you wont have to deal with customer service unless your online downloading stuff.. but i like the unlimited side alot, better then people on your ass about how many minutes you used and plus i dont have to worry about anybody looking at my phone calls when my bill comes in the mail cuz they dont keep track of your calls at all.
