Cool Cricket V9M EVDO PRL 1050

I'm having some trouble loading the 1050.prl to my v9m. It was originally a sprint then had to flash it to alltel and then to cricket to get the cricket monster to work. I *228 with no problem but I got bored and wanted to see if I could load the 1050 prl for the heck of it. I'm using motorola pst, when it tries to suspend the phone, it automatically refreshes the modem port and says "please power cycle the phone" I was thinking maybe there is a newer version of pst or something out there? I read Mark Ventures, hf and mf but could not find anything.

p.s. All of my programs are working fine, I'm not a noob, just discovered this forum today.

I'm doing this from memory so take it with a grain of salt....

But in Motorola PST, go to OPEN, then choose CDMA PRL. Then select the 1050 PRL and it should open a dialogue. Use the write to phone icon along the top menu bar and it should write the PRL to the phone.

If that doesn't do the trick, use the Phone Programmer in QPST to load the PRL from the Roaming tab.

    Good hunting!

    Cool V9m

Come on Berry, I thought I would get a better response than that from you. lol, I have done that and I have tried qpst, i'm not sure why Motorola PST won't suspend the phone. Does anybody know of any new seem edits for this phone? thanks

    Okay MR. Wiseguy......

Try deleting the RAZR from your Windows Hardware Manager. Delete ALL the drivers and start all over. You can use the driver removal tool at HackTheRazr.com.

Get the drivers from HackTheRazr.com. Install ALL of the first four set of drivers minus the Windows Media fix. THEN go to Mark Venture's website and download the drivers he has there and install those. THEN plug in the phone and let it detect. If it doesn't make it through detection automatically and give you the "your device is now ready to use" bubble, then you know you've done something wrong.

When you open Motorola PST, the phone should disconnect and then reconnect several times. Again, this should happen automatically. If it doesn't, there's something wrong with your set-up. You will have to try again from the beginning.

Motorola drivers are a total PITA to set-up.

    Cool v9m

Thanks berry, i have tried uninstalling and installing different drivers that I have but i'll try the ones that you mentioned and see what happens. It's not really a huge deal, I just mess around with it when I get time.

Mrcricket23 is correct in advising to use RSD General. Motorola PST does not work with the newer handsets (V9M, Z6M, V3A) that use a MEID instead of an ESN. The usual tools for SEEM edits do not work as well. You will need to use a newer version of RadioComm that has the SEEM edit functions.
