    Mobile Web Issues

Has anyone else run into problems when using the mobile web on the Cricket phones?

More often than not my phone seems to "hang". It'll say "Sending..." across the bottom and then do nothing else. I'll cancel the operation and then try again. Sometimes it goes through on the first try while other times I have to repeat the process a couple of times. Rarer occasions will have it just stop no matter how many times I try.

At first I thought it was just my phone, a MOTO SLVR l7c and after almost two months of frustrating calls to customer service and a threat to leave Cricket an agent set up my getting a replacement phone at one of their company owned stores in Cary, NC. Instead of the SLVR the agent offered me a KRZR k1m or another SLVR. I took the KRZR seeing as how it was a more expensive phone and I wouldn't have to pay anything else.

Later that evening the same thing started happening again. I've done everything! Cleared the browser memory, *228, reset the phone. Often a combination of the three will have the phone work fine for about an hour then it starts all over again.

I'm wondering if the impending switch over to EVDO high speed has anything to do with it but from what I can tell it shouldn't.

If it matters I'm in the Raleigh, NC, service area.

Any help, advice, or news would be great!

    Thanks!

Same thing happens to me. I even tried several browsers and all seem to hang now and then. I seems to be a toss-up between evdo and 1x if just used for browsing with the hang issue. When using evdo and the page loads with no hang ups its great but that is not as often as it should be and frustrating. I took 2 same model phones one with evdo and the other with 1040 prl and sometimes the 1x beat the evdo on same page loaded because of the hang issue. I think this is a cricket network issue. Lets hope it gets better soon. Getting a little tired of hitting refresh to see if I will hit the jackpot. This is the only issue with cricket that makes me consider finding another carrier. Will hang with cricket for a bit to see if the evdo bugs get worked out.

Call Cricket and have them reset all the data services on your account.
