View Full Version : Is Cricket customer service lacking?

This guy thinks so...

In my experiences I have attempted to call their customer service number but you always seem to get someone who only partially speaks English. It is like talking to a parrot. They always repeat what you say but are unable to help you.

I sent 7 e-mails from their webpage at Cricket Wireless | Cell Phones, Cellular Phone Plans, Mobile Broadband (http://www.mycricket.com) and though I have received confirmation e-mails, I have not heard anything from customer service. Furthermore, I have constantly received incorrect information about service from two of the local stores. I was told by the store a store in Dayton, Ohio that a "flashed" phone would work with the Cricket Wireless Network but all phone functions might not work. I purchased a great phone and called to see about getting it activated. When I took the phone in to the store they told me it could not be activated.

I just dumped Cricket because the "unlimited broadband" is now capped at 600Kbps tops and even a YouTube video won't play at 3AM on weekdays when everyone is asleep. At 9PM, 100-150Kbps is "normal". I don't need $40/month for mobile email. I used to get reasonable broadband. So, I fired 'em...or tried to.....

Open My Account and press the TERMINATE MY SERVICE button.

What? It isn't there? Mine wasn't, either. So, I sent them a message on the SUPPORT section webpage. I got an automatic response but no further contact, even from Bangladesh. So, I waited a day and stopped by a local Cricket contractor and asked the nice terminal operator to stop the automatic payment on my credit card and close my account, which she said she did....but I have no confirming paperwork or even a confirming email. Anyone could have handed her that slip of paper with my account number and phone number on it and cancelled my account, even if it weren't me!

It's as if they don't care......of course, the don't WANT to disconnect, do they...??....:bad:
